Propagation Technology has implemented technology transfer operations in Europe, Africa, Eastern Bloc and Central America. Feasibility studies have been carried out on project viability and applications, markets and marketing, laboratory and nursery design and specifications. We can advise on the applications of micropropagation to horticultural markets, agriculture, floriculture, forestry and conservation.

As part of the Doric Consultancy Group, which specialises internationally in the implementation of hospital projects, Propagation Technology offers the most advanced service for laboratory design, construction and commissioning. A recent example is a modular 3/4 million plant capacity facility, designed and assembled by Propagation Technology and Doric Consultancy in the UK, then shipped out and commissioned in the rainforests of Belize, Central America. The facility incorporated elements of mobile operating theatres and hospital work areas, functioning successfully for the purposes of local conservation and sustainable development under extremely arduous conditions. Such expertise has also been applied to the adaptation of existing buildings onsite, in accordance with customer requirements and budget. In addition, we specify and arrange the supply of greenhouse, shadehouse and nursery structures for acclimatisation and conventional propagation of plants. Full equipment specifications and supply are available to the customer.

A full and detailed programme of staff training is available, from operator to management level. We are happy to train both onsite, and at Propagation Technology's facilities to provide direct experience of ongoing commercial production, from initiation of stockplants, R&D, bulking up, acclimatisation in the nursery and final delivery. This also allows us to offer start up cultures initiated from customer's selected stockplants, to rapidly facilitate commercial production in any prospective operation.
